SCHOOL
OF ORTHOPAEDIC CAST TECHNOLOGY:
i.
For full time
National Diploma Programme in Orthopaedic Cast Technology.
ii.
HND in Orthopaedic
Cast Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. i. Prospective Applicants for Residency
Training Programme
must be a medical practitioner.
ii. Be
fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with current
license
iii.
Have
satisfactorily completed the NYSC programme or otherwise exempted.
iv.
Possess the
Primary Fellowship of the relevant faculty.
v.
Complete
disclosure of any other training you may have undergone is mandatory
vi.
Three (3) referees
reports to be addressed to the Medical Director, one of which must be a
reference from your last place of work or Testimonial from the DEAN of your faculty.
B.
PROSPECTIVE
CANDIDATES FOR POST BASIC SCHOOL OF NURSING MUST:-
i.
Be a nurse
registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with current
practicing license.
ii.
Have minimum of
one year post qualification experience.
iii.
Possess West
African School Certificate, G.C.E./NECO with at least credit passes in English Language,
Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics obtained in not more the two
sittings.
C.
PROSPECTIVE
CANDIDATES FOR INTERNSHIP MUST POSSESS:
i.
Certificate of
provisional registration with their regulatory bodies
ii.
Statement of
Result
iii.
Oath Certificate
iv.
Three (3) referee
letters, one of which must come from the Dean of your Faculty.
v.
Affidavit that you
have not previously done internship in your respective discipline
QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE INTERNS:
i.
Eligibility:
Graduates of B.N.Sc. degree programme from approved and accredited departments
of Nursing in Nigeria University who passed the professional Examination of
Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and has provisional licensed by
the Council.
ii.
Graduates of the
B. N.Sc degree programme from foreign university recognized by Federal Ministry
of Education (FME) and National University Council (NUC) registered by NMCN and
given provisional license to practice as Registered Nurse (RN)
D.
Prospective
applicants for School of Orthopaedic Cast Technology must:-
i.
Posses the West
African School Certificate/GCE/NECO or their acceptable equivalent with credit
in five (5) subjects at not more than two sittings. This must include credit in English Language,
Mathematics, Biology or Health Science and two (2) other subjects.
ii.
Experience in the
use of Plaster of Paris will be an added advantage.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested
candidates should submit a letter of application with photocopies of relevant
documents as well as recent Curriculum Vitae addressed to the Medical Director,
National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu.
The
complete documents should be contained in a sealed envelope indicating in the
right upper corner your discipline and should be submitted by hand or by post
to the office of the Medical Director not later than six weeks from the date of
this advertisement.
Only
shortlisted candidates will be invited for written/oral interview.

PROGRAMME IN
ORTHOPAEDIC CAST AND TECHNOLOGY
The school of Orthopaedic Cast and
Technology wish to invite all qualified candidates who scored a minimum of 100
UTME, candidates who did not take UTME as well as those who did not use this
institution as first choice can as well apply for admission into the SCHOOL OF ORTHOPAEDIC CAST AND TECHNOLOGY
for the 2024/2025 academic session as follows:-
REQUIREMENTS:
(1)
Entry requirements for SOCAST NOHE is as it is
obtained in other Federal Poly/Monotechnics in the country
(2)
Possess the West African School
Certificate/GCE/NECO or their acceptable equivalent with credit in five (5)
subjects at one or two sittings.
(3)
This
must include a credit in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science
and two (2) other subjects chosen from: Food & Nutrition/Home Management,
Agriculture Science, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing etc.
(4)
Experience in the use of Plaster of Paris will
be an added advantage.
DURATION OF THE COURSE
The duration of the course is:
(1)
Two (2) Years, comprising four (4) semesters
of academic/practical work.
CLOSSING DATE:
Application letter together with photocopies of
relevant credential and 2 passport size photographs should be forwarded to the
Admission Officer of the school, not later than six weeks from the date of this
publication.
